DAY 1 - SAN FRANCISCO TO ISTANBULTURKEY. Overnight flight.
DAY 2 – ISTANBUL, TURKEY
Arrive in Istanbul, Turkey, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at
leisure. In the evening, we will have dinner and entertainment.
DAY 3 - ISTANBUL
Istanbul, the only city in the world built on two continents. Full day tour. See St. Sophia Museum
(built in 6th century one was the largest Christian Church in The world) See Topkapi Palace,
(Imperial Residence Of Ottoman Sultans, with displays of priceless world class collections of
artifacts, jewelry and rare porcelain, the Blue Mosque (unique with its 6 minarets and famous
for its blue Izmir tiles, see the Hippodrome Square where ancient Chariot races were held, and
then visit the world famous Grand Covered Bazaar
DAY 4- ISTANBUL/IZMIR/SELKUK
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Izmir. Arrive in Izmir and transfer to
your hotel in Selcuk. Overnight in Selcuk.
DAY 5 - PERGAMON
After breakfast, you will be driven to Pergamon. Visit the Acropolis, The Temple Of Athena, the
Famous Library, The Royal Palaces, The Temple Of Trojan, the steepest Theatre of the world,
The Temple Of Dionysus, The Altar of Zeus (Seat Of Satan0, St. John's Church. Lunch in town.
Visit the ruins of Asclepion (medical Center of the ancient world. Overnight in Selcut.
DAY 6 - EPHESUS
After breakfast, we leave for Ephesus, This is the veritable cradle of early Christianity.
See the spectacular ruins from the period of St. Paul (some of which have only recently been
excavated. See the Odeion, The Bouleterion Fountains, The Brothels, The Agoras, The Great
Theatre, The Roman Baths The Gymnasium, After lunch visit the Archaeological Museum, The
Temple Of Artemis (Diana) (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. Overnight in Selcut.
DAY 7 - EPHESUS
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and proceed to the Shrine of the
Virgin Mary where she supposedly spent her later days and the Basilica of St. John. After
lunch, enjoy a display on Turkish handicrafts. Overnight in Selcut.
DAY 8 - SELCUT
Free day to relax, enjoy the pool or the sea and rest. In the evening you will be picked up
and we will proceed to have dinner with a Turkish entertainment. Overnight in Selcut.
DAY 9 - IZMIR
Early departure to visit the Church Of St. Polcarpe which is the oldest Church in Smyrna. Then
visit the ancient Agora and visit the old Elevator Building, overlooking the city of Imir, the
"Pearl" of the Aegean Sea. Then visit the Archaeological and Ethnographical Museums.
Overnight in Selcut.
Day 10 - IZMIR
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven to Izmir. Day free for shopping,
souvenir shopping etc. Overnight in Selcut.
Day 11 SELCUT/IZMIR Departure.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your connecting flight back to San Francisco via
Istanbul.
